Sector Specialist, Market Development, Integrated Development Programme

Job Description / Responsibility
  • Provide technical guidance to field staff for identify market constrain and value chain development related issues
  • Liaison with Agricultural Marketing Department of government and as well as primary, secondary and tertiary market for access to market
  • Build capacity of the field team to facilitate the product marketing plan to the VDOs members
  • Ensure unit management, administrative and financial structures are maintained by all field staff
  • Ensure monitoring of project activities, outputs and impact
  • Ensure project report and documentation particularly in market and value chain activities of the VDOs
  • Develop team spirit and supportive attitudes among project personal and different stakeholders

Educational Requirements
  • MBA/ MSS / MS in Agriculture/ MS in Agricultural Economics (Marketing) from any recognised university with minimum 2nd class/division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations
Experience Requirements
  • At least 2 year(s)
Job Requirements
  • Age At most 40 year(s)
  • Minimum 2 year’s experience in relevant field
  • Able to develop training modules and technical guideline of institutional and social development intervention
  • Have facilitation and interpersonal skills with communication and presentation skills
  • Have computer knowledge
  • Skills on team building and leading capacity and able to work under pressure
